What makes Shift different

We treat the cause. Not just the pain.

Most clinics manage symptoms. We're interested in structural resolution — returning the disc, joint, or soft tissue to a state where it no longer generates pain in the first place.

Every patient at Shift receives a thorough initial assessment, a clear diagnosis, and a structured treatment plan with defined milestones. You'll always know where you are in your recovery and what the next step looks like.

SA's only MT Core clinic — 5 beds across 2 locations

The MT Core mechanical decompression bed is the only one of its kind in South Australia. With 5 beds across Allenby Gardens and Malvern, we can see more patients without compromising access or wait times.

Structured care with a defined endpoint

Not open-ended treatment with no clear direction. Every patient has a structured plan, defined milestones, and regular progress reviews — so you always know where you are and what comes next.

The Shift 4 rehabilitation framework

An in-house rehabilitation methodology designed to build lasting spinal capacity — not just reduce pain, but address the underlying deficits that allowed the injury to develop.

What our patients say.

"I have been seeing Jonathan for a few years now and my sciatica has improved so much. Jonathan is empathetic, understanding, and an overall great guy. Highly recommend."

Tom Porta

"Since incorporating MT Core decompression sessions with Jonathan, it is a game changer. I already have around 10 sessions and feel so much difference in my posture, movement, and pain. I would highly recommend."

Kavita Saini

"If you have spinal health issues of either short-term or long-term standing, treatments offered by Jonathan will provide long-term exceptional results."

Frequently asked.

We specialise in disc injuries, complex lower back pain, sciatica, neck pain, headaches, and sports injuries. Our core focus is on structural spinal conditions — particularly those that haven't responded to other treatments or where surgery has been suggested as an option. We treat both acute and chronic presentations across all age groups.

No referral required. Book directly online or by phone. If you have existing imaging (MRI, CT, X-ray) or reports from other practitioners, bring them to your first appointment — they help us build a clearer picture faster and avoid duplicating tests you've already had.

Your initial consultation runs approximately 45–60 minutes and includes a full health history, physical and neurological examination, postural and movement assessment, and where relevant, a review of any existing imaging. You'll leave with a clear diagnosis, an explanation of what's causing your symptoms, and a specific treatment plan — not a vague recommendation to "come back and see how it goes."

Chiropractic consultations are claimable under most extras health insurance policies. We process HICAPS claims on the spot, so you pay only the gap at the time of your visit. Rebate amounts vary by fund and policy level. We recommend contacting your insurer to confirm your entitlements before your first appointment.

We have two Adelaide locations: 101 Grange Road, Allenby Gardens and 309 Unley Road, Malvern. The MT Core spinal decompression bed is available at both locations — 5 beds in total — meaning more availability and shorter wait times for decompression patients. Book online and select your preferred location at checkout.
