Shift Spinal Health
Relief
Care when you need it, and nothing you don't. Sometimes you are not after a program or a plan. You just want the ache to settle so you can get on with your day. Relief is exactly that. Come in when it flares, we ease it, and you carry on.

Is this you?
Relief is for most of us.
Most back trouble is not complicated. It is a stiff back, an everyday ache, a flare that is already easing. If that is where you are, you do not need a program to feel better. You need the right care at the right time, and not much more.
You have an everyday ache or stiffness
The kind that comes and goes, gets in the way of your day, but has not taken over your life.
You are in a flare and want it to settle
Something has flared up and you want to bring it down and get moving again, without a big commitment.
You want to try decompression for yourself
You have heard about it, or a friend swears by it, and you want to feel what it actually does.
You are not after a commitment
No program, no fortnightly debit, no plan to follow at home. Just care when you want it, and none when you do not.
If that sounds like you, Relief is the simplest way in. Book an assessment and we will take it from there.
What to expect
Lie down. Let the table do the work.
MT Core Smart Decompression is a treatment you receive lying down on a purpose-built table. It is heated, most people find it comfortable straight away, and nothing is asked of you while you are on it. You relax, and the table works through a slow, gentle motion. We were the first clinic in South Australia to offer it.
Gentle and hands-off
You lie still. There is no effort and no strain in the session itself.
Hands-on care where it helps
Where it suits you, your clinician may add hands-on treatment to settle things faster.
No homework
Relief does not come with a program to follow between visits. You come in, you leave, that is it.
need to. That's the
whole deal.
Relief is pay as you go. You book a single session, or a few, whenever it suits you. There is no program, no fortnightly debit and no lock-in.
When you feel good, you stop. If it flares again down the track, you come back. We confirm session pricing with you at your assessment, so there are no surprises.
Our commitment
We won't sell you more than you need.
Relief means relief
If easing the symptoms is all you are after, that is all we will offer. We will not talk you into a program you do not want.
Honest care, always
We only recommend what is truly in your interest, never otherwise. If a few sessions will do it, we will say so. That is the Shift standard.
Before you book
The questions we get asked most.
If yours is not here, ask it at your assessment. Nothing on this page is meant to replace that conversation.
Do I have to commit to anything?
No. Relief is pay as you go, one session at a time. There is no program, no minimum number of visits and no lock-in contract.
You book when you need to, and you stop whenever you like.
How does payment work?
You pay per session, as you go. There is no fortnightly debit and nothing to sign up to.
We confirm session pricing with you at your assessment, before anything starts, so you know exactly where you stand.
Why do I need an assessment first?
Because decompression is not suitable for every spine, and your safety comes first. A short Spinal Health Assessment lets a clinician check that the treatment is right for you before your first session.
Where it makes clinical sense on the day, your first decompression session is included in that assessment, so you leave having actually felt the treatment.
What if it turns out to be more than a flare?
Then we will tell you honestly. Sometimes what looks like an everyday ache has something more complex behind it, like a disc problem or a pattern that keeps returning.
If that is you, there is a structured program built for it called Rebuild. We will explain why we think it fits, and the choice is always yours. If relief is still the right call, relief is what you will get.
Can I start with Relief and move to Rebuild later?
Yes, and plenty of people do. You do not have to decide up front. Start with Relief, see how decompression works for you, and step up to Rebuild whenever you feel ready.
What we have already learned about your spine carries across, so it is a smooth move rather than starting again.
Do I need a referral or a scan first?
No referral is needed. You can book directly.
If you already have scans, bring them, as they help. If you do not have any, that is completely fine for Relief.
What happens in the assessment?
The Spinal Health Assessment runs 45 to 60 minutes. We examine your spine, go through your history, and talk about what has been bothering you and what you want to get back to.
From there we recommend the right path. For most people that is simply Relief. Booking an assessment commits you to nothing beyond the assessment itself.
If it turns out to be more
Some aches are bigger than a flare.
Now and then someone comes in for Relief and we find something more complex underneath. A disc problem, a pattern that keeps returning, something a few sessions will settle but not solve. If that is you, we will say so plainly, and there is a program built for exactly that.
Rebuild brings decompression, coached strength and progress tracking into one structured plan. It asks more of you, and it is not for everyone. But if relief keeps slipping away, it may be the better path.
You do not have to know at the start. Plenty of people come in for Relief, feel the difference over a few visits, and decide for themselves that they want the fuller structure. Moving up to Rebuild when you are ready is a natural step, and there is no pressure to make that call now, or ever.
The Rebuild Program
A supervised program for persistent disc and joint problems, where a few visits and some rest were never going to be enough.
